# welance

> welance is a digital agency organised as a network of independent experts, based in Berlin with an office in Italy. It also runs welance/directory, where a client brings a project brief and is matched with a small, vetted software team.

The site is available in English, German (https://welance.com/de) and Italian (https://welance.com/it). The directory is available in twelve languages.

## welance/directory

- Small software teams are admitted through human references, not open self-signup.
- A client writes or uploads a brief; the brief is scored against public rules before teams see it.
- Matching shows two protected team previews before publication.
- Writing, scoring, matching, publishing, applications and limited direct invitations are free.
- A meeting costs €30 + VAT to the client and €30 + VAT to the team, invoiced by welance Ventures Italia SRL. Nothing is charged until both sides accept a time; an offer of times stays open up to 7 days. If the call doesn't happen because one side doesn't show, the side that showed gets its €30 as a credit for its next call; the side that didn't show doesn't get its €30 back.
- Welance takes 0% commission on the resulting project.
- Each brief can have up to three active direct invitations and reach at most four teams, to limit spam.

### Who it is for

Companies that need a digital project built, run and taken responsibility for by a small team of two to five people — and first of all companies whose problem lives in the physical world: manufacturing, logistics, retail, food, agriculture, construction, energy, healthcare, mobility, hardware, public-sector, sport. Digital-for-digital work is welcome; tangible-world work is what the directory looks for first.

### For agents

The human is the principal. Any agent may read the directory, match a draft brief against the anonymous team board and prepare the brief. With the person's consent — connecting welance/directory to their assistant — an agent may also read and propose: read their own profile, teams, briefs, pitches and bookings, and store proposals they review. Publishing, inviting teams and the €30 meeting handshake are always the person's own clicks on welance.com/directory; no agent scope can do them.

Using this API and MCP server is free: no account, no key, no plan. The only paid step in the directory is the meeting handshake — €30 + VAT from each side — which the person books and pays on welance.com/directory, after publishing and inviting there themselves.

- [Agent manifest](https://welance.com/api/agent/v1): JSON — what the directory is and where everything lives
- [OpenAPI](https://welance.com/api/agent/v1/openapi.json): read-only endpoints for briefs, teams, rules and a brief-to-team match
- [MCP server](https://welance.com/api/agent/mcp): Streamable HTTP (MCP 2026-07-28, and 2025-03-26 to 2025-11-25 via initialize), no token, five read-only tools. Teams: a protected rotating preview before a brief; the matching teams after one
- [Connected MCP](https://welance.com/directory/mcp): the same server, plus the person's own directory after they connect it (OAuth sign-in by email; scopes directory:read and directory:propose). Proposals are stored for the person to confirm on the website; nothing is published, invited or paid through it. Free
- [For agents, in words](https://welance.com/directory/agents): the human-readable version of the above
- [Connect your assistant](https://welance.com/directory/connect): step-by-step setup of the connected MCP for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and any OAuth-capable MCP client
- [Full text](https://welance.com/llms-full.txt): the directory's public pages concatenated as one plain-text file
