For agents · read-only API and MCP serverFor agents

Send your agent first.

Everything a person can read on this directory, their assistant can read too: open briefs, a preview of the anonymous team board, the scoring rules, and the teams a draft brief matches. Without opening the site. What the assistant cannot do is act for them — publishing, inviting and the €30 handshake stay human clicks.

01

Who it is for.

Companies that need a digital project built, run and taken responsibility for by a small team of two to five people — not a freelancer to manage, not an agency to brief every week.

First of all, companies whose problem lives in the physical world. A plant with a production line and a spreadsheet. A warehouse on a 2014 ERP. A clinic, a farm, a fleet, a chain of shops. Digital-for-digital work is welcome; tangible-world work is what we look for first, and every brief and team on the API carries that read, with the domains that triggered it.

02

What your agent can do.

Add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any client that speaks the protocol — no token, no account. Or call the JSON endpoints the OpenAPI document describes. Five tools, all read-only:

  • directory_capabilitiesWhat the directory is, who it is for, how pricing works.
  • list_open_briefsOpen briefs, briefs in vetting and the delivered archive — anonymised. Filter to tangible-world projects.
  • preview_teamsA protected preview: two anonymous teams, rotating daily, and the size of the supply. Never the whole board.
  • match_briefThe teams a draft brief actually matches, with reasons and the defaults it inferred. Same matcher as publishing, stores nothing, calls no LLM, ends with a prefilled “Start this brief” link.
  • brief_rulesThe public scoring rules a brief must pass before teams see it.

The match uses the same derivation and matcher the publish path runs, so the shortlist the agent sees is the one the person will see on the board after publishing. Nothing is stored. No model is called: the matcher is a keyword waterfall over sector, roles, language and budget, which is why it can be open.

03

The human is the principal.

Any agent may read, match and draft. With the person’s consent — connecting welance/directory to their assistant — it may also read their own directory and propose changes, which they review and confirm here. Publishing a brief, inviting a team and the €30 meeting handshake are always the person’s own clicks: no agent scope can do them, by design. A brief on this board is a commitment someone made, not something a model emitted.

So the loop is short. The agent prepares the brief and the shortlist; the person opens the guided start with the draft, publishes, and claims the link in their inbox. From there the rules are the ones on pricing: free to publish, free to be matched, €30 from each side only to meet, 0% of the project to us.

04

Three prompts that work.

  1. We run a bakery chain with twelve shops and a central kitchen; stock counts are still on paper. Find me a team that has done retail or food operations, speaks German, and tell me what a brief should say before I publish it.
  2. Our warehouse management runs on a 2014 ERP. Which teams on the welance directory have shipped logistics software, and what would a brief for an AI-assisted replenishment tool need to contain?
  3. Draft a brief for a maintenance app for a solar park operator, score it against the directory rules, and shortlist three teams.

Limits: 60 requests a minute per IP, 30 for the matcher. Before a brief, two teams rotating daily; after it, only the teams it matches. Briefs of 80 to 20,000 characters. Three active direct invitations and four distinct teams per brief once the person publishes. A €10,000 project floor.

Add it to your assistant.

Free. One remote URL, no token, no account, no plan. MCP 2026-07-28, and the earlier handshake versions for older clients.

Connect your account.

Free as well. Add the connected URL and sign in with the email of your welance/directory account: your assistant can then read your own directory and prepare changes for you to confirm. Scopes: directory:read and directory:propose — there is no scope to publish, invite or pay. No account yet? The assistant hands you the sign-in page; it never creates one.
